Greetings fellow MPGHians.

I can not believe you are here! Such MPGHians of high stature, visiting my little corner. Makes me feel better than I should be.

Are you unfamiliar with my little corner? Of course you are! I sincerely apologize for not introducing myself properly. I am TitanDrive, a low-ranked MPGH user. I have founded this corner to find comfort and express myself among other MPGH members.

Now, on to a bit more about what this corner is. I would like to call it my own version of Hoovervilles. Do you not know what Hoovervilles are? Oh, excuse my lack of manners, I shall explain them.

Hoovervilles were small parts of towns or cities where many people affected by the depression lived. These areas were often populated by homeless people in cardboard boxes and shacks made of garbage. There were also many veterans from World War I who lived in these towns. Many of these towns were infamously burned down by the governments.

Now you might be asking, why compare this little corner to Hoovervilles? Well, it's simple. I think this is a raggedy little corner for me to express myself. And rude MPGH members might be the government, trying their best to tear down and humiliate this thread. But when Hoovervilles were torn down, the people living in them migrated and built a new one. Wash, rinse and repeat. I'll follow suit with my corners.

Let's continue on to the main thesis, okay?

If you have read my previous Peasantry Corner, then you probably picked up a few obvious hints at what the next corner (this one) would be. In this corner I want to tell you about my love for power.

Power, as we all know, is something wicked. Something that brings a spirit out in us, like a rush going through us that lets us know, that we are in power. It is strange and manipulative. It allows people to do what was once thought as impossible. Power can be used to control, which can be very beneficial to the one in power. But it can also be used to oppress, often affecting others not in power.

So that brings me to the point: when is power too much? How can one set a boundary for oneself about how much power one should have (awful grammar, sorry)? Throughout history, it has been proven that power can go to people's heads. People can be influenced to think in a mindset that makes them feel more influential and powerful than they really are. It can be frightening, seeing people go off to near madness with power.

Society needs to balance itself when it comes to power. But that can only truly happen when each and every individual sets standards for power. But more importantly, every individual should make sure than others have power over them, for that will allow the more-powerful to oppress the lesser ones.

But us, humans, are beautifully imperfect creatures (got that from a Liberty Mutual commercial). We can't all keep each other in check when we're power hungry. In addition, often we let others take responsibility for us, and that gives those others power. And power can be used to oppress.

In a way, the system of power was rooted into our minds and has not evolved much since then.

I know it's damn confusing. I just need to find a way to let my thoughts and ideas out guys. Sorry you have to suffer.

Humans who want power are in a way already insane, if they think they deserve power, they believe that they are better than everyone else.
You need to be fucked up in a way to believe that.
Note that everyone wants power, thus everyone is insane.
Do you still call people insane or is it normal behavior because everyone does it?
