We’re all just floating in this sea of worthlessness. Whether you’re a rich man, a beggar, a murderer, a volunteer, it doesn’t matter. We all die alone, and nothing we’ve ever done matters at all. There’s so much suffering in this world, so much inequality, so much intolerance and hatred, and for what? What reason, what purpose, what penultimate goal are we striving towards? Even good and bad are nothing but opinion, fabricated ideas from our puny minds. Look at what we’ve done, just look at what we’ve fucking done to this world. Humanity is by far the most wretched being to ever scar the surface of this world, and yet we exist in our arrogance, our own little realm of self-importance and bullshit morals and ideals. What would we know about good or bad, what would anyone or anything at all know? Heal a sick man, or set him on fire and watch him burn, the end result is the same. He’ll eventually die having never mattered, just like everyone to have ever lived. Some may say our new age of communication has ruined us, given us too much knowledge of the morbid reality in which we exist. Should we have stayed in our caves and squabble in our ignorance, plodding on like the sheep, and the grass, and the trees? They all die too, just like everyone you’re ever loved, hated, saw on the news, or read about in a book. The Earth’s breezes will keep blowing long after we’re gone, and all of our greatest accomplishments crumble to dirt, and everything humanity has ever fucking done, is just dust in the god damn wind.

Well that was deep. And I kinda agree with you.
So what would make our lives worthy to be lived then?
What would make it all matter?

The entire Earth could be destroyed in a supernova, and nothing would change.
Eternal the Universe watches, but never does it blink.
Hope for what exactly? The better? The Earth could be a paradise with no violence or hate, and we'd still be just as purposeless. Hope is for the feeble minded, those who are too mentally inferior as to embrace reality. Hope is meaningless.

You were seeking strength, justice, splendour.
You were seeking love.
Here is the pit, here is your pit.

Batman (08-01-2014)
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age."
-H.P. Lovecraft
Our new age of communication and knowledge has opened that vista.

I don't even know anymore, I just don't know.
I feel like it's been so long since I've slept, it must be at least 4 days. Out of meds, and I can't afford to renew my prescription, I feel like I'm going insane.
Can't sleep without my Trazodone, and my Zoloft doesn't fucking work anymore, I'm falling apart.
I've been posting pretty much nonstop on MPGH and Reddit for the past few days, called in sick to work, can't seem to get my head on straight.
Probably going to chug some Nyquil to knock myself out and regain my sanity.
I'm sorry I've been sort of a weird ass these couple days guys, I just...can't think right.

You say that nothing that we do during our life matters when it comes to the end. That when we lie down on our deathbed, a hollow shell of what we used to be, that nothing we ever did during our life made an impact in the grand scheme of things. I have to disagree with that to an extent. While most of us will go through life, living a pitiful existence under the shadow of politicians, the rich and the devious, there are some who cast light around them and emerge from the shadows. Adolf Hitler is a man who changed the world. No matter what part of the world you're from or your ideologies, Adolf Hilter is a name that near enough everyone on this planet has heard. He had such an impact on the world that his name will be carried on for generation upon generation, his name will go down in history and he will be forever remembered, just as Genghis Khan, John F. Kennedy, Caesar and Ghandi will be eternally remembered. On this planet, a single person can arise to power and shape the world as he sees fit, it just so happens that those people are different from us, hardly living in the shadows, hardly ever seeing the hardships of life at it's every core, not subject to discrimination, crime, poverty or anything of the sort. The very people at the core of our society that change and shape the world are the ones who seem to know it the very least. There are those who come along every so often that have an impact but those are few and far between. Then again, we are just a lump of rock floating through time and space, every event, small or big, only matters to use, on this tiny plant, in this tiny portion of the solar system, in this tiny portion of the galaxy, in this tiny, tiny, galaxy that floats endlessly, doing nothing but gazing out at other galaxies. Nothing that anyone does on this planet will ever affect anything that happens outside this solar system and even then the only ones to witness that will be us, a worthless, naive, pathetic race of humanoids that are self destructing at every possible turn.
