About every 2 minutes I have a major FPS drop.

I am just playing like normal with a nice 100+ FPS and then suddenly for a few seconds my fps is around 1-2 FPS for a few seconds and then it is back to over 100 FPS. Looking at the resource usages and such I have plenty of RAM and CPU to spare. The game is running off of an SSD so the harddrive I/O is also not an issue.

Anyone know what is going on?

It might be there an application that takes a lot from your RAM while playing Crossfire, try to close all un-important application.
If this didn't work download an application called Game Booster it might help you.
