Guys you got it wrong , you can still be demoted to Silver if you keep on a loose streak / bad mmr .
But if you were gold 5 and you stopped playing ranked for a long tjme you wont get demoted as before .
So yeah you can still get demoted to silver.

At the moment I was reading the patch notes, it said Bronze and Silver can't decay anymore instead of Silver and Gold lol, Rito ninja'd me
