I got scammed. The scammer got banned and so did I?

I was scammed today. I don't know if paypal will help me out or not but anyways. I came on here saw the guy got banned , but I did aswell. The ban logo is gone now but I just want to know why I was banned , and can I do anything about my stuff he took?

This account was banned. Idk if it was a glitch or someone lifted it realizing their mistake. The scammer is maxxk0ed. I posted in scammer grave with all the evidence. He billed me $80 on paypal instead of paying me , and took most of the wealth off the account I was selling.

OP was banned for accusing this user via his VM multiple times, despite deletion warnings. (Warned twice, did so again) Not 3 minutes after he was banned, I noticed he had made a thread in Scammer's grave, so I decided to unban him and let him file his claim. OP then decides to make a thread in General, asking why he was banned (despite the ban reason being in the ban message and my response to his thread in Scammer's grave) claiming that he's "been" here since 2007, like anyone gives a shit, and calling it idiocy for him having been banned. Despite that, I delete his thread there, and tell him to check his thread in Scammer's grave for my response. Now I see he made this thread. The accused is currently banned for reporting the OP as making false accusations and then proceeding to accuse another user himself.

I was never warned for anything. Please show me where I was warned. Also there was no ban reason. Not blaming you for that , it could be because my firefox is being stupid , honestly didn't see warnings or a ban reason.

It is entirely possible that you do not receive automated messages like you do when a thread is deleted. I was unaware of that. I know staff, and the profile owner can see the deleted VM and its reason. As a guest I could not. However if you're unable to see the deleted message, my full apologies, and I will make sure to leave a VM with the deletion reason as well to the offending party.

Yeah that only shows on your end I think. The messages were just gone when I looked. That's why I was posting again , I thought maxx was deleting them. Sorry aswell for spamming that I guess. Was just a little peeved off.

Very well, seems like an error from my part. Although technically it is on the user's end to read and follow the rules. However since the ban was lifted almost immediately that is that. Regarding your scammer's report, you may continue its discussion there. IIRC you can simply deny the invoice, and attempt to recover the account.
