well there doin this research because of the scare of Nibirru (the "planet" thats suppose to "collide" with us in 2012) so that they can figure out how to destroy it or atleast nock it off course. Why cause they what to survive past 2012. if they don't try this they are afraid of Nibirru crashing into earth and destroying it since Nibirru is bigger. (dont know what Nibirru is youtube it or search it on google) to nock it off course would also help but if it collades with a dif planet we would get sucked into the sun by its gravitational pull cause not enough supportin the other side and also we could hurdle away from the sun and lose all heat.
