For OP,
As long as your 2d waifus are not some fucking demon monsters, and the resemble the female form, triggering your carnal desires, I doubt that the what some would say "phase" you are going through is not normal. I see nothing wrong with preferences of 2d over 3d being much different than 3d over 2d.

Its your personal preference, don't let anyone tell you that you would be wrong for forming an opinion or preference to anything.
