North Korea has a history that leads to the Josun dynasty from 1 B.C. South Korea doesn't, as they started getting reputation since 3 B.C. Since then, North and South don't have a good history together, and that's why North Korea is so famous. Nuclear weapons, arsenals, and different types of weaponage has been created to threaten other countries into obeying what they want. Meanwhile, South Korea's president, Park Gun Hye has been trying to confisticate the weapons, and looking for a way to have a haggle with the North. As you all know, Kim Jong Un is not the type to be present and negotiate during a meeting, so no progress has been made.

But tbh I hope NK and SK will reunite at some point, I'd really like to see how the NK people will react to modern day technology, I know some have laptops and stuff for smuggled usb sticks, though itd be quite different than that.
