Literally stop. The scenario is based a lot on the theory of time travel. The man would have to be a time traveler to go back into time. Not sure what you are getting at but, you aren't making any sense.

Point is, it depends on your perspective on time.
Time is there, that is a fact.
How it works, is the thing that is questioned.
If it exists in one straight line, so to say, the kid would die because he killed himself in that line.
If it exists in a long road with sidetracks, he can still be alive, if he hopped back to a line where he didn't kill his grandfather.
I suppose you're simply unable to understand, but thats fine.

I have a theory that there are trillions of dimensions, a new one created every time you make a choice. You stay in the choice you made, but the choices you didn't make branch off.

Using that theory, if I were to go back and kill my grandfather, I'd still be alive in trillions of dimensions due to the fact that a new dimension was created from the choice to not do it, and the dimensions that were created beforehand.

It didn't actually travel back in time, the other clocks in the experiment simply expired time at a faster rate. If anything there was forward time travel, but it was simply due to kinematic and gravitational time dilation.
