Thanks, and of course not - the purpose is also the after effect I suppose. Having given something back, hopefully people feel good about themselves, in a way which would encourage them to do so again
Another aim I had in the past year, was that whenever I saw a charity donation box, I would put my loose coins into it - I've been without change the whole year

I gave this homeless guy $80 last year on Christmas Eve to rent a room (It gets fucking cold in Poland, I live in Kraków) and he literally offered to give me $40 back. Poor people are more generous then anybody else is.
