Angry Crossfire fps drops and crash

Everytime I play Crossfire I get fps drop from 200fps(144fps monitor) to 20,30 fps for 5 seconds every minute or so. After 5 minutes of gaming, the game just crash to desktop without reason or error. I discovered that it only happens when I use a Dual link DVI cable instead of a HDMI cable. the problem with the HDMI cable is that I only get to play at 60 fps. I would like help. I'm not even a hacker or anything
    Here is my pc :

    Motherboard: ASUS Z97-A
    Resolution :1920x1080p 144hz
    Operating system :windows 8.1
    Monitor: ASUS VG248QE

its probably windows 8.1. I have a hard time aswell playing crossfire in windows 8.1. If its not the OS then why is it so bad to play at 60 fps? Its reasonable for the human eye and you cannot notice lag. My monitor only runs at 30 fps and i'm very happy. And last maybe your pc and your monitor has a registry error? Check for any errors on your pc before doing anything else, an error can break your computer at the most.

Ok try to play with the 60 fps refresh rate and see if you can get use to that. If not your cable could be damaged check that for errors. And when i mean check for errors I mean the manual 5 hour long going through hardware and checking everything you use for crossfire. Example graphics card, internet cable/wifi, your monitor, etc.

Its not about playing at 60 fps. I can play at 60 fps. but Id rather try to find a way to fix this because I didnt build the pc and buy that monitor to play at 60 fps. I could do that with my laptop
