Thousnds of Anti-Islam protestors gathered Monday in the German city, Dresden, with some carrying banners with the names of those who were killed in the Charlie Hebdo attacks. Google Project Ara: The Modular Smartphone Set to Release Early 2015

Smartphones play an important role in today’s society. From the iPhone to the Samsung Galaxies, almost everyone has or owns a smartphone. With the mass amount of smartphones in the markets, many consumers (including myself) always ask the same question: Which smartphone is the best? To some people they prefer the style of the phone. To others the practicality of the phone trumps everything else, and then there are the people who hopped on the Apple bandwagon and decided to buy the iPhone (myself included). But is there a clear answer to the very question thousands of people ask? Sure there are a lot of smartphones in the market but each one is special in their own way. Almost no two smartphones outside their brand, are similar. Whether if it’s the design, battery life, RAM, memory, camera, or anything else, the phones in today’s market are very much different. However, what if you could take the components you like and combine them all into one smartphone that fits your needs. This is where Google steps in withe Project Ara. You may have seen pictures of this on the internet but not many details have been released on the phone until now. 2014 was a crucial year in the world of technology. With better processors, smaller chips, and improved technology as a whole, Ara was starting to become a reality. Ara is essentially a smartphone component that allows you to pick and choose which parts you want to put into your smartphone. This includes everything imaginable, from the screen to the camera it has it all. This is the first of its kind and with Google backing it up, people are very excited. The phone offers people to buy the components they want from different distributors and companies. Think of it as building your on PC. You get to pick the parts you want depending on your needs and budget. This phone is essentially that. Google recently announced the release of the phone as early as January. Starting kits will be sold at low prices starting from $50.

Games Done Quick Gaming Marathon Raises over $1 Million
The awesome speed run themed gaming marathon has hit a massive milestone with over 25,000 donors and over 30,000 donations bringing the total to over $1 Million in donations. It was wonderful to watch and was extremely informative on speed running in a massive variety of games this coupled with this insane amount of money raised to help fight cancer its was a true spectacle to see and an enjoyable one at that.

H1Z1 Is now listed on steam for early alpha

The zombie survival game h1z1 has now popped up on the steam listing as an early release title and is planned to hit the market on the 15th. h1z1 is a zombie survival game thats following in the trail of DayZ while having its own style and some elements from rust. Its an interesting competitor to the zombie game genre which is really crowded right now but it has elements that make its stand out from the crowd and looks like somthing to look out for.
