What kind of boss fires you just by taking you off the roster?

So let me get some background into this before I start going into detail, I had a friend called Robert who worked with me last year, he was a good friend of mine until he got fired for a 'low performance standard' at my job. He had been warned a few times before but just couldn't seem to pick his act up, so one week I went into work and his name wasn't on our weekly roster anymore (we all work part time/casual) - Alas, good bye Robert. They've bothered to delete your line in microsoft excel, you're gone.
You see when you go on holidays or don't work, they don't actually delete your line on the roster, they just grey it out.

Last Friday I wasn't able to make it into work for a bunch of reasons which I won't go into details about in this thread, but you all know about what happened on the Sunday.
I didn't call in 'sick' in the morning, and I wasn't ABLE to message them until 8pm at night.
I texted my boss explaining the situation, he said that's fine but that my shifts for this week had been re allocated.
I'm like sure but come on I need the money, can't I work next week? I've only missed a day, you shouldn't re-allocate my shifts.
He said that it would be "unfair and unprofessional" to do this to someone else when he's already made a promise to them, fair enough.

After some digging it looked like my boss had his own daughter working in place of me (same age) this week, okay fine, as long as I get my work back next week.

On Monday my boss messaged me saying he wanted me to call him to get some stuff sorted out about my shifts, I'm sorry boss. But I CAN'T CALL YOU EVEN IF I WANTED TO. Aside from my fucking terrible anxiety issues on phones and in public places, I've been busy as fuck with all this counselling the doctors are making me do. It's draining me physically and emotionally to explain my story to about 5 different people in the last 4 days. But - back to the matter at hand.

Boss, I turn into a nervous wreck on phones, I've got depression and anxiety. Surely you would understand WHY I haven't called you?

oh look, they've deleted me completely and kept his daughter.
There goes my job.

This is the worst way to fire someone, EVER. At least text message me that i'm gonna be fired. Just don't stop giving me shifts altogether.

What I would do.

Work at Maccas or a fast food restaurant. Easiest way of getting money and the likelihood of you getting fired is small unless you really are just bad and cannot do your work without your boss/manager getting pissed off at you.

If you can't work at a fast food restaurant, work at a Cinema like Hoyts and you will get discounted movie tickets which is fun xD
