I need help from the Photographers of MPGH

Are there any cameras under $200, that are better than my Note 4's camera? I'm looking to replace it, but I don't know what to get. I'm not looking to take pictures that someone with a $3,500 camera would take, but something that would look much better than taking it on my Phone's.

If you are willing to you can consider buying second hand cameras, preferably from a friend. They may be a bit more than $200 but I got one from my friend for $500 even though it was worth closer to $2000. Assuming you have friends who are into photography though. Other than that idk if there are the Nixon Coolpix, which iirc are around 200 dollars when on sale and some places probably have it set at 200, they are 16 megapixels though which is the exact same as the note 4.

The really nice DSLR cameras that cost about $1.5k are pretty valid investments for high quality photography. A big reason is the large lenses are capable of capturing a lot more light.

My dedicated $200 camera takes slightly marginally better photos than my phone camera in normal light and no movement.

200 is a pretty hard budget to follow when you want to buy a camera. I would just save and get a DSLR, I've had one since forever and it hasn't failed me yet

Everyone else has said all that is needed to say. Most cameras under $200 are basic point and shoots. A compact system camera is probably the closest you'll get. It's much, much better than a point and shoot but also allows you to swap out the lense.

Would you recommend used ones on EBay/Amazon? Or do I have to like always buy new?

You might be able to get a refurbished t3 or t3i on eBay. Not sure how much it would cost. Or Nikon 3100. I'll edit this post if I can find some.
