    Is it alright to mount a hdd on one side only

    Bought an new hdd, can i screw it in to the pc on only one side?

    I cannot get access to the other panel

    Will that cause any problem if i use it on ma pc?

    I always do it , i don't really think it good for the HDD stability , the vribration could damage your HDD ( but i still do it because i don't have any screws left XD)

    I didn't locked my SSD and SSHD ether, if your PC is just on one location, I don't see any problems. But if you take it to places be aware your SATA- or powercable may become loose. There are also some lock-things available for your drives, that doesn't need any screws.

    Vibration can reduce the life cycle of any mechanical object, best to avoid it.

    I'd suggest putting the two screws in opposite sides front and back and taping it slightly to help reduce the vibration.
