If you are willing to spend a little more, I recommend Beyerdynamic's DT770 or 990 series. I have run both, do not get them unless you plan on getting some type of headphone amplifier though. I promise it will change your world when it comes to headphones.

I have the Audio Technica AT2020 USB microphone and the quality on it is excellent. So if you have not heard of the company they are great and produce good R&D products.

P.S. - I have the HD598's also, and I am not a fan, the sound staging is OKAY, but the sound is very and when I say very I mean it, neutral. This may be a plus or not a plus to you, and as far as I know that's the profile on most of the senns.
