How about a real MPGHCraft?

Past 2 MPGHCraft's have given MPGH's ability to make servers despicable. I didn't participate in either, I wanted to, I tried helping, but I realized it was near hopeless. I think it's time for a real MPGHCraft where the owner is jaded but still somewhat relevant.

I think I want to try it again, I'm going to be thinking about this considering summer is right around the summer for everyone, everyone's finishing finals, and to jump back into MPGH would be a bit nostalgic for not only me but everyone else. Nonetheless, it'd be something that I can work on and dedicate some time to.

I guess here's my question: what type of server are you interested in? What do you long for in a server? Should it be cracked (meaning anyone can have any username, obviously, I'll code a custom plugin so each account has a password unless that plugin is still around)? Give me your thoughts, please. I have some ideas in mind but I'm curious to see what you guys think about another MPGHCraft and what it should be on, something that would appeal to the majority of people who have ever played Minecraft here on MPGH.

If anyone wants to work on it as well or has something to contribute feel free to PM/VM me. It's been a long time since I've been in this section but it deserves some type of revival.

Servers still succeed when people hack, because those hacking will simply be banned.

Especially if it's something like a Prison server, not much hacking you can do there. Install and configure accurately anti-hack plugins, the most hacking that can be done is x-raying ores.

You say that as if every other server is hacker-free because it doesn't have affiliation with a certain forum agenda. Every server has hackers and will have hackers, there's no prevention, but there are things you can do to mitigate it and make the server the best you can by enforcing rules and having plugins in place to restrict hacking as much as you can.

Do not make it a single kind of server like a only faction server, make it a network with different gamemodes like Factions/KitPvP/Prison and other minigames that is my suggestion.

Reason I don't want to do that is because the userbase wouldn't be big enough I don't think. I don't think we'll have enough people to populate each server adequately or each gamemode to have a good amount of people to have a good game. I was going to dedicate the server to one type, expand to others as needed.

Well, in that case i do think you should do a kitpvp server, there are way to many faction servers and prison servers arround right now.

no point doing kitpvp cause hes advertising it on a hacking website and most of us on here have 100's of alts and we just change our ip if we get banned

To tell you the truth if you had 30 people on atleast thats people and if they are hacking they will be banned if you get people on you will get more people and hacking won't be too big of a problem if there is a good anticheat

Yeah, I was thinking of doing Prison, not A-Z, not OP, a classic hardcore prison with maybe 10 ranks, and then you get free? I'm still unsure but that sounds nostalgic.
