It's not a hack, just an XSS vulnerability, which pretty much any site is vulnerable to in limited quantities. No information was compromised, no unauthorized access, etc, just a simple trick. As for the popup, I really doubt it was key logging any entries, because they seem too dumb to understand how to do it, to be quite frank.
