You failed to considered the GDK that YOUR ENGINE USES. Direct X and OpenGL are millions of lines of code.

Had you written the ENTIRE graphics engine like you would have to in Flash, whole new story.

Anything written in Flash can't be compared to anything written in C++, that's for sure. Secondly, DirectX and OpenGl are just different ways to interface with the video device, and are not graphics engines. I don't know of any games that DONT use DirectX and\or OpenGl. Thats like me telling you, you've failed to consider that the flash runtime environment is millions of lines of code, and the SDKs it uses are probably millions of lines of code, and the OS & Drivers that it uses are probably millions of lines of code, and the video device that those SDKs interface with probably took millions of hardware engineers, and thus, you didn't write anything. If you had created your own graphics device, drivers for the device, SDK with APIs used to interface with the driver, and your own Graphics Engine, then it'd be a whole different story.

Maybe I misunderstood what your saying, and I probably am, but that's what I'm getting.

Can you explain to me how your "game engine" is different then Orge3D? Since you are the presumption that Orge3D is just a Graphics Engine. Lets look at my previous post or let me reiterate on my first post. Orge3d has much more functionality then a traditional graphics engine. It obviously allows people to output to their screen and draw complex shapes, but it also includes material and shader support, mesh support, animation support, scene support, and special effects. Not to mention, it has a whole shit ton of extra features that make it less and less like of a graphics engine. They even give you the ability to combine Orge3d with other libraries... In this case Orge3d would be more then 50% of your project thus far and lmao unless youre going to spend the rest of your life on it, you won't be surpassing that 50% mark. FYI

I haven't seen this JetaOs, I only hear what you've said about it. You said that making operating systems was "easy".
