Well what I am looking for is some pretty old anime that's about it


But that people think is good.

Cowboy Bebop is an episodic anime that is just overall really refined and from a critics stand point outstandingly done. Expecially the OST.

Trigun is more plot based but still somewhat episodic it sort of revolves around the moral subject of is it ever justified to take anothers life. Do we have the right to kill others? it's sort of along those lines.But that might give you a bad impression of what the anime is really about.

Hellsing is a darker anime, the original series is IMO better and although i felt it lacked some plot it was still a really good anime. The soundtrack was really good but most of all it made Vampires cool again. Before I watched hellsing I thought vampires were for fags like in twilight.

DragonBall - Although this may seem overrated, if you'v;e never actually sat down and watched dragonball, give it a try you'll thank me. From child abuse to pedophilia dragonball has it all crossing all boundairies to giving philosphical ideals such as

'we do not learn martial arts to pick fights or impress pretty girls who say "oh beef cake i want you"

I'm still not all the way finished with dragonball but its one of the few things in life to make me laugh, along side OP.

El-Hazard

I recommend the Original OVA series El-Hazard The Magnificent World, which is 7 episodes.

El-Hazard - The Wanderers is an anime series remake of the OVA with 26 episodes, but they changed quite a bit, and the OVA is the best.

There is another OVA which is 4 episodes and El Hazard - The Alternative World, which I haven't watched yet, but they aren't really appealing to me

@Empire Any reason for the best shonen being HxH? I enjoyed it but the whole [spoilers ahead] Gon going beast mode on Pitou is the only thing I hear of when people suggest it as a shonen. I don't recall many more fights being out of the ordinary, but enjoyed Killuas character a lot. [End spoilers]

Its fun seeing anime like One Piece and HxH because you can see how much stronger the characters are, good feel.
