Late Night Thoughts

Lately I've been having a lot of thoughts/feelings going through my head and I have a hard time expressing them.
I've always been pretty quiet and never really talk about my feelings to anybody, which creates this really weird feeling in my heart.


Do you ever think of how we aren't really free until/unless we reach economic wealth?
I mean, think about it. We work our whole lives and can't do whatever we feel like doing.
We may think we can, because most of us live in countries that provide a lot of liberties, but we actually can't.
We can't wake up and say, "Today, I'm going to do whatever I want."
We have to either go to work, school, or both (if one is fortunate enough to have these things).
After these things, then we can spend the remaining amount of free time we have doing what we want.
Now, imagine if you were rich... a billionaire (assuming you wouldn't be working).
You can wake up in the morning and do whatever you feel like doing. Whether it is going to another country for a day or two, or being able to spend your whole day, every day, with your family, worry-free.
Although money cannot buy happiness, I believe it can provide/bring freedom to oneself.
But once you have freedom, does freedom != happiness? Or would freedom bring happiness to you?
I guess it all depends on the individual.
As for myself, this is why I strive for wealth.

Maybe someone else feels, or thinks, the same as I do.

I don't believe wealth = freedom. Living like a hobo is always possible, not even in a bad way, some people have the times of their lives at Alaska living day to day.

I do believe luxurious freedom = wealth.

Fact is, no matter how you turn it/twist it, it'll always turn around to something economic. It's the world we live in, for some sadly, for others luckily.

Your thoughts are not a bad thing, it's better to know the reality and live in it, rather than being blind. The truth or reality is not always pleasent, but 'ey, better than living in a fantasy world.

Some people are free with/without money,some are unhappy with or without, some people enjoy working and the list goes on, depends on their perspectives of life itself to do what they like, otherwise they will be miserable thinking what they could have done.

I always wonder what happens when we die...
Is it just a black universe, you're in a similar state to sleeping (as in a black space) but you'll never wake up.
Is there such a thing as rebirth? Maybe the bright light that you see before you die is you coming back out into the world as a new life.

I also have this depressing feeling as when I'm going/travelling somewhere, I remind myself "There might not be a next time, everything I see now is what I'll see in this life"...

Also the odd feeling that you might never wake up again, something like a tree falls on your house and you die while sleeping.

you are confusing freedom with lazyness.

you cant expect to eat without someone working to get the food.

thats why our society is so amazing. everyone buys and sells services in a way that everyone basically does FREE WORK for society because he wants the money to buy someone else's services and vice versa


rich people circumvent that by not need to work anymore to get the service they want.

they are just as free as they were before being rich. but now they dont need to actively work for food, but rather for a new yacht

thats how death most likely feels. not at all.

you dont feel anything because you arent alive. and it doesnt bother you because you arent alive.

imagining it like closing your eyes is fundementally wrong. because do you while being asleep see black?

This might come out of the blue, but it has been scientifically proven that people that have won the lottery (aka have alot of cash) are generally happier in all aspects of life. Obvious reason is, they can afford to be free (as in they have the money to do it). People often say "Money can't give/buy you happiness", well the problem is the only thing money can't do for you is to buy you friends.

Personally, i love money. I'm not from a wealthy family and i just enjoy having money and more freedom to do stuff. Because with money you can afford to do these kinds of things. But as Eternity said, we will be never actually free. We will never come up with something unique, since there are billions of us. You really think out of those billions of people nobody has thought of the same idea you had? And at the end, only the worryless will be happy in their own kind of form. And i assume what kind of people i mean.
