FPS Booster
V0.9.3.2
An FPS Booster for GTAV.
Right now this is primarily made for steam-client GTA V holders, but can also be tinkered and made to work for use with Retail or Non-Steam copies**.
- Disclaimer -
You must run the provided files as administrator or it will not work as intended. I am not responsible for what may happen as a result of using this script. This script was designed for Windows 7 but it can have errors and / or bugs on Windows 8, 8.1 or possibly Windows 10.
Use this at your own risk.
All files must be in the same folder to work properly. If you have your game installed in a different directory other than the default you must specify it in the .BAT file (retail_launcher).
This does not mod the game in any way so you should still be able to play
Online.
- How This Works -
These simple scripts will stop unneeded services to help increase your FPS in GTA V. When the game is closed, all services will automatically be restarted.
- How To Use -
1. Run START_GTAV.bat (Do not execute the other ones. Ever. START_GTAV calls for them already).
2. The batch file will end unnecessary processes and launch your GTA V game.
3. You should be ready to play the game.
4. Once you exit the game, all processes that were previously ended will be restarted.
There are further tutorials, both video and screenshots to walk you through how to install this. Some of it is also split into NVIDIA and AMD specific sections. You'll find these tutorial files as .txt's within the download.
- Commandline.txt -
1. Drag and drop the provided commandline.txt into the root directory of your Grand Theft Auto V installation.
2. You can edit the commandline.txt and tweak any features you desire. Notepad and Notepad++ are compatible.

** You can customize the script to search for the game’s directory if you do not own a Steam version of GTA V. Can find a tutorial on how to do this within the files.
Enjoy!
