PatchedREZ Injector!

So as i promised here is my REZ Injector and my Extractor. U need both if you want to make a mod.
Readme.txt explains everything

Tutorial:
How to make a pokeball

1. Step

Find a texture you want to replace. I took the grenade. Use the extractor to extract weapon skins from RF017.REZ

2nd Step
Open your DTX in Photoshop, you can find the DTX plugins in the Combat arms section.



Edit it as you like it...GO PIKACHUUUU xD


3rd Step

Save your texture as DTX, click save and you have to choose S3TC DTX1 (8:1) because thats the best compression. You have to make the new texture filesize at least the same but NEVER bigger as the original. This would break the rez.



4.Step

To inject the new texture make sure you have the Rezfile RF017.REZ, your old and new texture and my injector in the same directory.

Now just run the program and follow the instructions:





If you didnt see any Error your done, just copy the new RF017.REZ in you crossfire/rez directory. If you want to take the mod out again rename the BAK file back and replace it.

Edit: oh just though of an idea but I'm not sure if that's possible (it must be). Isn't there a way to change the text in game? Like weapon names and etc. I'm sure that this must be stored in the client.
