How to split and scan large files.

For anyone that does not know how to split files that are to large for online virus scans here is a brief tut.
If someone wants to make a more comple guide i understand.

Most online virus scans have a limit to file size. Virus Total accepts up to 15 mb if i am not mistaken. All other free scan sites i checked the file size limit was lower.

If you have a file to scan that is to large you will have to split it, depending on size of file it may be split into 2 or more.

One file I had to split to scan was my body.rez file i modified.

1: Locate file, 'right click'. Look down the options listed and select 'Add to archive..'



2: Choose size of files to create, you need to type this in manually. I split mine into 15 MB. This created 2 zips of the file which i scanned seperately. (you will have to post links to all scanned parts of file)



3: To retrieve file (unzip) simply drag mouse over both files (or group of files depending on how many) highlighting them and choose to extract.

I cried. :O I prefer 20mbs tho, thats the minimum for virustotal.

i actually didn't knows this...but then again, i never cared or uploaded files so big that a split would be needed
