    Question Differences between values

I was able to make my first private hack successfully but I didn't find the values on my own. I got them from someone else. So I wanted to try making another one. But this time, I will provide the addies on my own. The problem is: I don't know how to look for one. So someone said that I should use OllyDbg. I got it to work. Only 1 problem: Tons of strings and hexes... I don't know how to find the correct ones.

Can anyone tell me the difference between an Offset, a Pointer, and how do you tell them apart. Also, what is the use for WeaponMgr, GhostMgr, etc??? I'd appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

I am not a .. coder in mpgh but..
    Values.. it's guessing work.. tbh
Offsets in olly are usually EAX,ESI and more.. with 2-4 Digits.

Like what @Polter said, the values are just guessed. You gonna use your imagination, hmm let`s say the Reloadanimratio so obviously, it is for reload. But take note that some of the strings in olly are crazy, I am messing up with it before and I found a string called "weaponprice" I used my imagination so I thought it was weapon price in the market and I did not tested it yet.

Offsets usually start with FSTP because they are float but take note that not all of the offsets are starting with FSTP some uses calculations too. Pointers usually starts with MOV ECX/EAX. How does the pointer/pointing part work? You just make a pointer to the location you want to change. Then you make it what ever you want.

I got those information in the whole MPGH just read and read threads here even they are old you gonna learn much. Try to google them if you have questions and I am sure google will point you here in MPGH source code section

@xmen, what about WeaponMgr, GhostMgr, etc. What are they for?

    I already mention them:

You just make a pointer to the location you want to change. Then you make it what ever you want.
