For the type of signature you're doing right now, you have to build into it, so you don't handle the hard shit all at once.You may be able to take it, but it helps by building into it. For the time being, do tutorials, and try to follow what they do.

There's a filter for lighting in PS, it'll make it simple. There's a better way to do so, but it's the easier way for now.

Everyone starts doing shit. You just have to learn how the components work how to use them efficiently. We say tutorials not to make you sad, its for you to learn how to make a signature from a tutorial, and learn how to use the things you did in the tutorial without actually copying it.
