Hello,
Greetings,
So I just saw a video from Tom Scott (youtube) titled The "Image That Can Break Your Brain" and it explained the McCollough effect.
This implies that if you stare at a set of images for about 10-20 mins you will switch your perception of green and red.
I was quite surprised and curious but he said that it might fuck up your brain so I am hesitant to try it, but I wonder how much harm it will do.
But I know you guys are brave pioneers that will go to any lengths to find out if this works.
So if anyone wants to give it a try beware, you might seriously harm yourself and would do so on your own accord,no one else is to be held responsible.
Thank you.
I think it lasted like a day or so for me when I tried it, which was like last year or something, a while ago at least.
(Note, there isn't really any difference throughout your regular day cycle, it only happens with horizontal/vertical lines, such as the testing image)
According to research it can last up to 3-5 months though, I don't think there are any reports of permanent damage though (I haven't researched it much, you should research it yourself if you really are interested).
The image you want to look at, if you wanna try it.
Note that you should switch between the the first and second image for upwards of 3 minutes, before seeing if it has a result.
Warning: the McCollough effect can cause long-lasting changes to color perception
NOTE: The above image is completely black and white, if you see green or red it is the cause of the effect.

(Also it isn't really colorblindness)
seems like a retarded thing to "test" imo, there is always that first time someone gets permament damage.

I did it for 3 minutes each but had no effect @Yemiez @Steve
I guess it has different effects on different people.
