This is my own ltb to lta model converter (this will not work for other ltb files, such as renderStyle ltb's).
List of data it will extract and convert to lta:
- Models
- Sub-Models (LOD's)
- Bones
- Animations
- Sockets
- Blended Weight Sets
- RenderStyle Indices
- Render Priorities
- Texture Indices
NOTE:
- There is some minor issues with bone weight values being off (because they are forced to have a max of 3 bones per vertex).
- If it doesn't like the model it can crash!
------ How to use ltb_to_lta.exe ------
From the exe itself
Code:
Usage ltb_to_lta.exe [M] [T] [O]
M - the ltb model file
[eg mesh****b]
T - Mesh Type:
"-roe" Rubies of Eventide [Default]
"-tron" Tron 2.0 (NOFL?)
"-satk" Sudden Attack
"-carms" Combat Arms
O - Optional Arguments
"-view" (First Person) View Model Mesh Type
...
Example useage for world models:
Code:
ltb_to_lta.exe characterModel****b -carms
Example usage for view models:
Code:
ltb_to_lta.exe viewGunModel****b -carms -view
If everything worked ok, you should see something like "Saving... ", and will have 'LTA' model file at the same place as the 'LTB'.
Note: If you are NOT using a Combat Arms model chances are you will need to CHANGE THE MESH TYPE. If the game is not listed, try using the various mesh types listed here first before letting me know, as these cover other games as well.
If you get an error popping up then it means the converter failed. Try another mesh type, or try the '-view' option. If none of these work then the model is not yet supported.
------ The Batch Files ------
I have included four batch files with the converter to ease the usage.
First you have to edit them to change the path from C:\ltb_to_lta.exe to the path wherever you have placed your copy of it, eg 'C:\User\Documents\ltb_to_lta.exe'. After this initial setup, all you have to do is drag the model you want to convert onto the appropriate batch file.
to_lta_CA.bat, is for Combat Arms world models.
to_lta_CA-VIEW.bat, is for Combat Arms view models.
The next two batch files will try and figure out what the mesh type is, but these aren't guaranteed to work. At which point you will have to use the manual method.
- to_lta_WorldModel.bat, for world models.
- to_lta_ViewModel.bat, for view models.
If you are using other games, you will either have to change the batch files' mesh type, or better, create an additional pair for the new game with the appropriate mesh type.

There is still a bit of work to be done, but I am going to be too busy to work on it. So I am releasing it until I can get back to work on it again.
