The main two being:
- Most coders hard-code their addresses. These addresses point to a certain part in memory, for example, the PushToConsole method. With every patch, with every update, this address changes. Old hacks with old (and now incorrect) addresses will not be able to do what they are meant to do - they're now null / pointing to something that will not function as intended.
- DirectX hooks, especially public ones, will sooner or later become detected. Old hacks use old hooks, and these will eventually be detected - meaning that the hack will no longer work. (For example, the JMP detour from DetoursXS has been detected - any of the old hacks using this DirectX hook will cause the game to exit)
