The guild-building being non-neutral and able to purchase sounds a little off.....
:/ Once again, this series should just be fantasy. None of the video game stuff adds up.
So the kiddies are saved, kinda hoped they would save themselves though. Lots of boring talking that supposedly about strategy but it's more like this: "We are going to make laws" and "Fuck you, I bought this shit" but for some reason it took up most of the episode just for him to explain these 2 things. Overall this was a meh episode.

*-* shes so cute
Yeah.. there's a couple of inconsistencies with the plot. If the guild building was so important, why didn't other guilds buy it? Meh, it's been kinda iffy for a while. SAO and Log Horizon just aren't good with this kind of plot. Only .hack//Sign really pulled off the whole virtual reality type anime good but it's pretty neglected.
I personally dislike Log Horizon. It might be because it seems like a rip off of sao/.hack? I watched a couple ep and stopped.

The author of SAO is kind of a "hack". He put out two very similar series within a year, and both of them are really weak. SAO turns into shit past the firs arc, which is probably why it will never get another adaptation/season and Accel world was just terrible in general.
Log horizon suffers from being really lame. It needs some over-arcing plot but keeps getting dragged down with this stupid video-game references and minor arcs involving really boring stuff. Even given that no one can die in log horizon, the series keeps taking itself seriously.
I'd much rather see a video-game comedy show, but what Log Horizon keeps giving me is some weird pseudo-fantasy-videogame stuff. Its like the people who keep using zombies just because they are "popular".
Well its just...odd. Log horizon doesn't NEED to be video game based at all, it could easily pass with just fantasy. The whole "video game" thing isn't really done in the detail SAO was, and from my(gamer) perspective a lot of the mechanics just make little to no sense in consistency.
Yuki Kajiura worked with SAO so i can see a point, and it is quite fun to see a role playing game based anime once in a while.
so far i kinda like this anime.
