Should I watch Anime?

It's not about your friends enjoying watching anime. It's about if you enjoy. Personally, I don't really watch anime but there are a few very good and interesting ones out there. I mean, Attack on Titan is really good as well as SAO.

Since it sounds like your friends are watching, try asking them for recommendations since you'll also have something to talk about. If you don't end up liking it, you probably won't end up watching more!

Anime can be very broad. For me it's difficult to find a series that hooks me. Some classics are Dragonball series, One Punch Man, Kuroko no Basketball, Naruto, Bleach, etc. It depends on genre you are looking for.

You should at least try it for yourself once to see if you like it for yourself. It also depends on what you like to decide what you want to watch. Just because someone likes one anime doesn't mean you're gonna like it too. But the mainstream ones are usually a safe bet, like naruto, bleach, one piece, etc. But those are super long so you're gonna end up getting sucked in and binging for a few weeks if you don't have self control like me.

Yes. Everyone should at least give anime a try once in their life. It's just like tv shows, but without the physical constraints that real life people cannot do. Like weird body flex and shites. But on a more serious note, there's a wide range of genres in anime. There will be something for everyone, if you but give it a try.
