I've had mine at launch, got read error and got it back in working condition it lasted up until I left it with my parents. I had gone overseas for 3 months and turned out they abused the poor thing, not only was it in an enclosed space...but they left it on accidently many times. YLOD about 2 weeks into my return after I noticed its fan locked up at High even on XMB. Luckily I have few spares (Buy broken ps3's on craiglist, well used to to fix and resell) and got it fixed... but I rather sell it and buy a newer warrantied 60GB from gamestop, or hold onto the money for the NGP. because... yeah... p.s i kinda rhaeped it with Transformer stickers and some red metallix spray paint >>
