You need to be at the main Safehouse, not in the Car Dealer.

Be sure your game is set to 800x600 windowed mode, and to be sure, drag the corners of the window as close as possible. If that didn't work, simply drag the edges so that macro would actually hit the button

My screen resolution is 1920x1080, could that affect anything?

It only updated if you have maximum setting. Those who have minimum don't get an update. So it's only a small visual update probably.
