Injecting, texture modding and model changing! 27/4/2010

dude this so frustrating i cant get this dammed mod to work....
ok so i know in deff. doing something wrong couse its not working
so ill xplain step by step what i did and maby u can instruct me in what to do....

ok so first i extracted with (rezextract) the folowing folders
guns_m_pv_ar.rez and guns_t_pv_ar.rez ......

i tthen copied and pasted to a new folder the folowing files.....
ani_g_m16a3_sh.ltb and ani_g_acrsandfire_sh.ltb

so far so good !!!

i then renamed like folows......
ani_g_m16a3_sh.ltb(original) and the sandfire ti ani_g_m16a3_sh_ltb...

then i extracted theese two files from guns_t_pv_ar.rez
pv_ar_df_acr_sandfire_hm and pv_m16a3

i then renamed as folows
pv_m16a3(original) and the sandfire to .... pv_m16a3

i then injected the renamed anibase to guns_m_pv_ar.rez and i ijected the other renamed dtx file to guns_t_pv_ar.rez

im pretty sure in doing good so far......so i then go to my game folder and eliminate the old .rez files and renamed the new files as follows guns_m_pv_ar.rez.new to guns_m_pv_ar.rez and the same for the other file guns_t_pv_ar.new to guns_t_pv_ar.rez

ok so then i log into game and as soon ai hear game start my game dissconects....
im like w t f ??? it dc´s on me what am i doing wrong pleas help me.....

I actually know what you did wrong-it was the files you switched(occasionally switching only the ani files will screw it up)
Try the methods in that table at the bottom of the post and it shouldn't dc you.

I have question when i'm editing body textures to green blue or red after I edit one of the dtx file do i need to edit DE FK SN UR WL files to or just the one that doesn't have that ending on it i want to change it to see the armers that ppl have on

simply follow all the steps, all of them are essentials, none are optional, w/e file you are editing!

'I HIT THAT THANKS BUTTON!' i can inject now, just looking for a photoshop so i can make my own Textures on guns got one downloading at the moment, hopefully it will work CS5 , but its not called white rabbit :/ so... meh i dont know! XD thanks though.

Umm i made a mod but, my gun ingame looks like a big white block or sometihng, in shape of the L96A1, i was like Eh? thats not what i did....., any idea what i did wrong? :X i used 'Teal' colours on it like Streaks and stuff,

you did not convert your dtx back, chek if you did, then comeback with result!
