If you don't want to change to Windows or do a dual-boot, i'd recommend using Parallels to play games on Windows. You should be able to get around 60fps if you just give the VM enough power.

MAC is good for programs like photoshop and so forth, so they're not shit at all, MAC may not be for gaming, but its useful for programming and work like editing and photoshop.
