Does Steam Still VAC ban on MW3 and other old Cod Games?

So... I am new to PC gaming from PS4/PS3 and on ps4. PSN banns you no matter the games, meanwhile on ps3, PSN does not ban you anymore. The only thing that get banned are custom software system and all of those crazy intense shit. So i played MW3 on my new Gaming PC and there were many hackers. Does steam ban those people? if not how the hell are they able to get around it? i want to be able to play my game fair.

Actually yes there are still bans given out. I am currently an avid player of the "other old cod games" as you put it. Most cheaters either use free cheats, or have paid cheats (which usually are less likely to get them banned) or theyre own private cheats.

They do still ban people, but not the one who knows how to get around it.

I didn't read any posts only title. Why the hell would they remove vac? So people can hack in there games. Use your common sense.
It even says it's still active on store page.
