How to get colored classes pc

Sorry if in wrong section. please move if it is.


i searched and found nothing on here.

go to your steam folder.

go to steam apps

got to common

go to call of duty black ops

go to players

open config_mp.cfg in notepad.

go down until you find

seta customclass1 "CUSTOM 1"

or whatever you named your classes.

now it should be simple now. put a color code in front of your classes

EX: customclass1 "CUSTOM 1" to customclass1 "^1CUSTOM 1"

then save it and go online and look at your custom classes


i (meaning me Kane212) found this today while trying to make my BO screen minimized.

heres all the color codes.

^1 = Red
^2 = Green
^3 = Yellow
^4 = Blue
^5 = Light blue
^6 = Pink
^7 = White
^8 = Brown
^9 = Grey
^0 = Black

the only thing i found was a preview but didn't see a release for it.

Is it really so hard to just do this in game? idk because I cant use custom classes, but I have always been able to do it right in the game.

Btw if you need to play minimized then is it in graphic options.

They are working...
But the list of what is which colour is wrong.
This is how it should be,

^1 = Red
^2 = Green
^3 = Yellow
^4 = Blue
^5 = Light blue
^6 = Pink
^7 = White
^8 = Brown
^9 = Grey
^0 = Black

yea thats for prestige classes. also this is for colored classes.

ps you can rename classes ingame.

PSS for derpderp you can't make colored classes ingame.

Well I guess this is useful then. Why the hell did they disable it in game? Ive done it since CoD4.

no you posted prestige classes not custom classes. prestige and custom classes are different.
