Vindictus Private Server Development ?

Does anyone know, or is anyone close to creating a private server for this ?!?!? Maybe we can start thinking on how to useing MS SQL Server...mmm gets me thinking...

a Private vindictus server made by the users of MPGH would be useless lol...
1) everyone would have item creation
2) everyone would 1 hit kill everything
3) if there was a Vindictus private server it would be shut down since nexon doesn't allow that, and i'm pretty sure whoever owns the private server wouldn't want to be sued lol..

Haha pretty much this ... The game is already giving us whatever we want lol. Only things would be give_ap give_xp give_lvl give_item... otherwise anything you could want to do in a priv server is included :P

I could be wrong but i though a private vindictus server is like 100% illegal and you could get in hot water?

Vindictus is easy as it is. Making a private server will just make it even easier.

Private servers are in no way illegal so long as it's emulation, emulation is perfectly fine.

one would first need to decrypt the packet encryption and log every single packet send and received to even start work on the emulator, but emulators are no joke they are huge projects (I used to be a dev on the PvPGN team(Battle.net Emulation)

Private servers of Nexon games can get you sued. Especially if you make ANY profit from it

You can get sued yes, but if you know the legal system and can put up with the hassle of them on your ass it's really quite easy to get out of the situations and get out scottfree, the issue is most people give in.

Recently I had a friend being sued by Activision, same deal. It's scare tactics really, and they hope you give in and they will make a "deal" with you for less than what they sued for to try and convince you into taking it.

Yes, good revenue stream for them as long as you don't make them pay the lawyers excessively by dragging the process out with a fight.
