Understanding pain is an important adaptation for surviving different obstacles. They wouldn't adapt if they didn't feel pain. They have adapted meaning that they do feel pain.

But yeah, all living organisms don't feel pain. You need nerves for that which all organisms do not have.

Fish stay in water But not The same spot,they could migrate with other colonies of fish to warm water.

Well, I know that. "Water" supports all water related spots. Covers all that ground. They were born there. They have no choice to stay in Water because that's where their 'safe', they are there, because that's the only way they can live..

Let's say they migrate to shark infested waters. one get's bitten but not hard enough where they could die. Would they be smart enough to know whats going on? Yes,even though there brain is small they would still be able to feel pain via the message sent to the brain from the nerves.
