A lot of people have failed their companies , either small or big, because they tried to make the company based on your mentality.

Making money is the main reason for business, fulfilling people's needs is the vehicle by which that is done. ie; You give us your money, we give you a product, in that order. Most successful businessman would in fact agree with me, as you have the hierarchy of supply completely wrong. Are you genuinely saying that a company such as EA, and their disconnected CEOs, genuinely care about the end result of their products and services? What about Arkham Knight, where the production company cared so little, and put in such a lackadaisical effort, that the result was so awful it had to be pulled from shelves entirely? Those companies are alive and thriving, with the exact marketing strategies I highlighted before, money before service. Not to say that that is true for all companies, CD Projekt Red spits right in the face of what I said, but for a large chunk of all companies what I said is true. It's not all encompassing, and companies have also gone down the tube trying to do what you said, service before money, which is a horrible shame. Thousands of indie studios, even those that produce great quality games, die every year due to lack of cash influx. The fact of the matter though is that money is a prerequisite, and the idea of money-mongering is indeed held by a large number of successful companies.
