How long does it take for a thread to be approved by moderators?

Trying to post a thread which includes a link to an image, and was told that it needs to be checked by moderators before it becomes visible. I got this message about 14/15 hours ago, just wondering how long it takes to approve?

a) Staff members have a life (Save for myself of course)
b) If you're so eager,why not post said image on an uploading site like imgur and then post the link to it over here?

We usually take anywhere between 1-15 hours; 24 is maximum

its been easily over 24 hours, just wondering if approvals can sometimes slip through the net?
