In case anybody is planning to get Prime in the next couple of days, here is something you should consider.
Amazon recently announced that they will be discounting $30 from new Prime subscriptions this Friday, September 25.
The $30 off will be discounted for the first year only, and is only valid for new Prime customers.

I've had Amazon Prime for years, so anyone who doesn't know if they want to get it: If you order 4 - 6 things yearly then it is worth it. Anything over 6 purchases a year is just profit.

In my opinion, yes, Amazon is way better than eBay. Not only does it provide a more secure way of purchasing stuff, but it provides "insurance".
For example, if you get something that is backed by Prime, if something goes wrong, Prime is pretty much insurance for it.
Prime also provides free, fast, shipping.
Even if you do get your package, you can always refund/double dip.

The discount is cool, but yes, doesn't really matter since you'll be saving more.
Also, they will be making more than $30 from you. Lol
