It is incurable, but you can take drugs, to help with the disease.

Crohn's disease is an auto immune disease. This means that the white blood cells in your body literally attack your intestines or other things in your body, you have a lowered immune system and are more susceptible to getting sick from sicknesses like the flu, a cold, and other things, as well as diseases that are spread in other ways then genetics.

Crohns disease is a genetic disease(spread from family members through birth). I have mine most likely because my family members on my moms side AND my dads side have GI problems.

For most, Crohn's disease will give you diarrhea and cramps in the abdominal area while you are having a flare up.For me and others with SEVERE Crohn's disease, they and I get nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and headaches. I get flare ups pretty often, Today as I am posting this, I am at home, left school, with horrible abdominal pain. I am currently on the following medications for my Crohn's: Pentasa (big blue pill) and Humira (epipen like injections in the leg or stomach every other week). I have also tried Remicade, this is a blood infusion via I.V. for 2-12 hours a month. Remicade works for a lot of people with Crohn's.

A huge part of Crohn's is a diet. Eating low to no wheat, gluten, diary, fiber, basically anything that could upset the stomach of someone with Crohn's, I am on a diet that consists of, low wheat, low gluten, and no diary. People with Crohn's are usually fighter, they don't give up or let their disease stop them from doing things. My aunt has done 5 iron mans. Here are some celebrates that have Crohn's disease: https://www.health.com/health/gallery...0108_5,00.html

Life with Crohn's is hard but it doesn't have to stop you from being successful. I am planning on going to college for computer science, I want to contribute to the computer science field in the world. I won't let Crohn's stop me from doing this. I also have Bipolar, depression, anxiety, lactose intolerance, and asthma (haven't had problems with the asthma since I was 13 though.). If you have Crohn's disease or GI problems, and don't want to talk about it on here, feel free to PM me, I am willing to talk about it.

And no, Crohn's is a Chronic disease that currently has no cure.
Oh, and I am also a recovering drug addict, DOC was weed and pills.
