So after seeing a video about 60 fps not properly showing on screen, I noticed something that's quite odd.
When I watch a Youtube video with 60 fps it appears to be far more smooth then a game which has 60 fps.
Is there any logical reason behind it or do i have some kind of hallucinations?

Side by side you wouldn't notice the difference. The only reason it appears smoother is that your brain is used to viewing videos at 24 or 30 FPS, making the jump in framerate much more noticeable in comparison. Even self-recorded gameplay will exhibit this illusion.
