My Happiest Day

Hands united, breathing erratic, the cold sinking through our clothes.
“Let’s stop here”- He says, “Ok, but its cooold” was my response.
“I haven’t noticed, you make my entire body warm with just the touch of your hand”
Blood rushes to my cheeks, butterflies take flight inside.
Suddenly the scene breaks in, him on bended knee,
He leans in, holds my hand, and in that moment my legs went weak.
My heart knew what my mind had yet to grasp,
My only thought, embrace the man below,
we tumbled, rolled, laughed and I spoke.
“Si!, Yes!, many times over yes!”
He looked at me, snow in his brow,
“Just to be clear, and so there’s no doubt, Bella, Will you marry me?”
My brain collapsed, my throat closed, and all I could muster was a nod
after a few seconds, of complete bliss, I felt the need
my sense of humor taking the best of me “Duh!” was all I could speak.
Laughter, joy, smiles, snow from above, fate.
My day, my happiest day, The day when the rest of my life took shape.

no, today, its basically the story shaped into a poem, and now i want to see that movie, but ive never seen it.
