Sup all,
I will be getting a new headset soon and I would like some recommendations or opinions. I am currently using Tritton AX180's and I would like a big upgrade. My budget is ~$150 but it can be increased if the headset is really that good. I don't need a mic, I will be using it mostly for gaming and when I go to school or just feel like listening to music.
I was looking at Astro A40's and they seem to be pretty decent. Any other suggestions? (No wireless ones)

I see you want only the luxurious
Get a studio headset instead of a gaming one since you don't want a mic. Studio headsets are amazing but I don't know shit about them so cant really recommend any good ones.
Just browse the forums for another headset thread and read through the comments. You will be surprised how much you learn.

I've had them before, not much to say but they're nice, a bit heavy and pushy(-wearing glasses will hurt) and you'll get warm inside pretty quick.
They're also closed headphones so you get a worse sound than open or semi-open. But don't take worse as a bad thing, it doesn't mean they're bad, open are better.
All gaming headsets suck, if you want get a HyperX, G4ME ZERO, PC 363D. You are better of buying really good pair of headphones and a mic.
In all honesty the max you should spend on gaming headphones is like $80 the extra money does not really come with any extra features.
