The short stories are new to me. Glad to see them getting translated, will look at them later on.


How are you comparing Alucard to Kiss-Shot as well? I understand both are vampires and immortal, but Kiss-Shot is never shown being as ruthless. Alucard literally shot through Seras with a would-be fatal wound until he turned her into a vampire. Compare that to Araragi who was turned into a vampire for helping Kiss-Shot. One is more brutal and the other is rather caring(?).


I'm hype for the Shinobu story. She's an interesting character given her past. I would absolutely love to see a story of the specialists in College more, though. It's a sad story for all of them.

Er.....in origins. Alucard's origin was in the crusades I believe, very dark stuff.

I feel as if the author should spend his time on Koyomi in college as a specialist instead of origins. Shinobu's origins are a mystery, but I feel they give waaaaaaaay too much depth to shinobu for the relative disinterest Koyomi shows her later.

Aw, he shows disinterest? That's kind of sad. In all honesty, I figured he would choose bat>crab. There is almost no reason he should have chose her outside of the "I like you because you saved me" and he's a high-school virgin. Yeah, you got Hanekawa, but let's be real here: He's had so many chances already that it's almost like the author just doesn't want them to be together.


Now, unless I'm interpretation what you mean by disinterest entirely(read:relationships) then that's really sad. Shinobu seems to be in need of Araragi outside of the whole "without you, I destroy the world" aspect.
