Not that I'm a fan of this series(I was initially, but then it just dropped the ball) but the fact they're doing a spin-off instead of another season is pretty hilarious. I don't recall how well it sold, but still.

What I was referring to was how much it sold during the anime release. Typically the LN would increase these numbers by a large amount but I have no idea if this was the case.

As far as I heard they don't have enough content for a season 2.

Makes sense then. I didn't follow it after the finale. Didn't really leave me wanting more.
