meh imo 1080>1440, but maybe worth it for 4k because thats a big upgrade.
but for you since u dont want to, nah. I would stay with 1080. depending on how much expendable income you have.
but hey its not my call.
The post is pretty much self expalanatory.
My set up:
Sapphire Radeon R9 390X 8GB GDDR5 (Triple Fan)
i5 4690k 3.5 GHz
MSI Z97 mobo
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 2133 MHz RAM
1x WD Blue 1 TB
1x Samsung Evo 250GB SSD
Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo cooler
2x Corsair 120mm case fans
2x 1080p 60 Hz monitor
When gaming on 1080p ultra, I normally get at least 40 FPS depending on the optimization of the game, and my temperature is normally at about 35 Celsius. Should I switch to 1440p to get more out of my card, or stay at 1080p? I'm not planning to upgrade for 4k anytime soon but gave 1440p a thought

Get an ultra wide
be generous with 1080p
Man I'm nowhere near that, I guess I could say I have a shit build
I like 1080p setups
theres probably a slight difference not major though
Ehh, I would only prefer the 1080p because there is a slight difference, but if you had the disposable income then you should do it. Otherwise stay with the 40FPS on ultra in 1080p.
I would say stick with 1080p because thats high end regular but some games are visually different for 1440p
I'd take the big jump to 4k. It's like 100€ more, and you can play games in HD without scaling because its HD squared.
Honestly, I see little to no difference from 1080 to 1440. If your card can handle 1440, go for it. But personally there is no reason to try and push it if it doesn't run well. 1080 is more than sufficient imo.
There is a difference,if you can afford it,go for it !
