Item duplication IS still possible in A14.5+EAC. Anyone care to share how?

I just caught someone on my server (A14.5 dedicated + EAC) who had guns of identical quality and durability loss (down to the individual parts), and had stacks of items exceeding what is supposed to be possible size limit (he had a stacks of 4000 iron, 7000 clay, etc, when the max limit per stack is supposed to be 1000. Even with creative mode I cant give myself a stack of these higher than 1000. So any tips how he was accomplishing all this? I've been searching all over the web with zero luck. Any tips?

I seen this happen also. Did they have a high piing rate to the server? More than likely were Chinese hackers. Their English wasn't very good, from what were said to each other over the voice chat while they were trying to blow into my base.
